10 HEALTHY JUICES
As it’s a summer season, everyone demands refreshing and healthy juices. Instead of purchasing costly healthy juices from shop,you can easily make them at home.
The recipes i am going to share with you are not only super easy in making but also effective in weight lose.
Here are some healthy juices.
1. BLUEBERRY-GINGER JUICE:
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup coarsely chopped peeled fresh ginger
- 6 (2-inch-long) strips lemon rind
- 4 cups blueberries
- 2 teaspoon grated peeled fresh ginger
- 2 (10-ounce) bottles club soda, chilled
- Ice cubes
- Lemon rind strips or lemon slices (optional)
How to Make It
Step 1
Combine first 4 ingredients in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat; let stand 15 minutes. Place pan in a large ice-filled bowl for 5 minutes or until cold. Pour syrup through a sieve into a pitcher; discard solids.
Step 2
Place half of blueberries and grated ginger in a blender; process 20 seconds or until smooth. Pour blueberry puree through a sieve into pitcher, pressing with the back of a spoon to remove as much juice as possible; discard solids. Stir juice into syrup mixture. Repeat procedure with remaining blueberries and grated ginger. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
2. Apple Juice;
Ingredients• 6 ounces chopped sweet-tart apple, such as Braeburn (1 1/2 cups)
• 3 ounces coarsely chopped parsley leaves and stems (1 bunch)
• 4 ounces stemmed chopped kale (6 packed cups)
• 2 ounces peeled lemon
How to Make It
Step 1
Juice in an electric juicer, alternating the dry (kale and parsley) and juicy (apple and lemon) ingredients. Serve immediately.
Step 2
Pulp Fix: Mix into potato pancake or latke batter for a green, zesty boost.
3. CARROT,APPLE AND GINGER JUICE;
Ingredients
• 1/2 cup 100% carrot juice, chilled
• 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
• 1/2 cup organic vanilla fat-free yogurt
• 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
• 1/2 teaspoon grated peeled fresh ginger
• 1 frozen sliced ripe banana
• 5 ice cubes (about 2 ounces)
How to Make It
Place all ingredients in a blender; process 2 minutes or until smooth. Serve immediately.
4. CUCUMBER,APPLE AND MINT JUICE;
Ingredients
• 1 cup chopped seeded peeled cucumber (about 1/2 pound)
• 1/3 cup unsweetened frozen 100% apple juice concentrate, undiluted• 1/4 cup cold water
• 1/4 cup chopped fresh mint
• 10 ice cubes (about 4 ounces)
How to Make It
Place all ingredients in a blender; process 2 minutes or until smooth. Serve immediately.
5. MANGO JUICE;
Ingredients
• 4 cups (1-inch) cubed mango (about 2 large mangos)
• 1 cup sliced strawberries
• 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice (about 2 large limes)
• 4 cups sparkling ginger or lime soda
• Ice
How to Make It
Step 1
Place half of first 4 ingredients in a blender; process until smooth. Pour into a pitcher. Repeat with remaining half of ingredients. Chill until ready to serve. Gently stir in soda. Serve over ice.
Step 2
To Your Health Blend this punch when your immune system needs a boost: oranges, mangos, and strawberries are all loaded with vitamin C.
6. ORANGE-CARROT JUICE;
Ingredients• 2 cups fresh orange juice (about 4 oranges)
• 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice (about 2 large limes)
• 1 tablespoon brown sugar
• 1 tablespoon refrigerated ginger paste
• 1 teaspoon refrigerated mint paste
• Dash of salt
• 2 cups 100% carrot juice, chilled
• Ice cubes
How to Make It
Place first 6 ingredients in a large pitcher; stir with a whisk. Add carrot juice; stir until blended. Serve over ice. Garnish with mint sprigs, if desired.
7. PEACHY- GRAPE JUICE;
Ingredients• 1 1/2 cups 100% white grape juice, chilled
• 1 1/2 cups peach juice, chilled
• 2 (12-ounce) bottles sparkling chilled peach juice beverage, chilled
• 1 cup frozen peach slices
How to Make It
Combine first 3 ingredients in a pitcher. Gently stir in peach slices. Serve immediately.
8. STRAWBERRY-KIWI JUICE;
Ingredients• 4 cups strawberry halves
• 1 cup quartered peeled kiwifruit (about 2 kiwifruit)
• 1 cup water
• 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice (about 2 limes)
• 3 tablespoons honey
• Ice (optional)
How to Make It
Place all ingredients in a blender; process until smooth. Strain mixture through a sieve into a pitcher; discard solids. Cover and refrigerate 30 minutes or until thoroughly chilled. Serve over ice, if desired.
9. SWEET POTATO-ORANGE JUICE;
Ingredients• 8 ounces chopped peeled sweet potato (2 cups)
• 4 ounces peeled orange
• 3 ounces coarsely chopped carrot (2 small carrots)
How to Make It
Step 1
Juice in an electric juicer. Serve immediately for the best quality, or within 24 hours.
Step 2
Pulp Fix: Stir this bright, citrusy mix into zucchini or banana bread batter for a sunny, fiber-filled twist.
10. BEETS-PINEAPPLE-CHERRY JUICE;
Ingredients• 1 1/4 cups pitted dark sweet cherries
• 1 1/4 cups fresh pineapple chunks
• 1 cup light coconut milk
• 1/4 cup chopped peeled fresh beets
• 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice (about 1 large lime)
• 3 tablespoons honey
• Unpeeled pineapple wedges (optional)
How to Make It
Place all ingredients in a blender; process until smooth. Strain mixture through a sieve; discard solids. Pour into glasses. Garnish with pineapple wedges, if desired. Serve immediately.
